That’s the whole idea behind our Student Car Giveaway. Every year, Newton Motor Group gives one Tennessee high school student the chance to win a new Nissan Versa simply for putting in the work at school. You don’t need a perfect report card. You don’t need straight A’s. You don’t even need your driver’s license yet.
You just need at least one “A” during the 2025–2026 school year.
One “A” earns one entry. Two “A’s” earn two entries. And so on, up to eight total entries. So yes, the better your grades, the more chances you get. But it only takes one “A” to be in the running.
The deadline to enter is June 8.
The Giveaway Party takes place on June 26 at 6 PM, and the student must be there in person to win.
This giveaway is open to Tennessee high school students. That includes students who already have a driver’s license, students with a learner’s permit, and students who don’t drive yet.
You do not have to buy anything. You do not have to visit the dealership to shop for a vehicle. This giveaway exists to recognize students who show up, study, finish the assignment, ask the teacher one more question, and earn the grade.
Sometimes that “A” comes from algebra. Sometimes it comes from English, biology, welding, art, Spanish, history, or a class that made no sense in August and finally clicked in March.
That counts.
As long as the grade appears as an “A” (including the numerical equivalent) on your high school report card or transcript, it can count as an entry. The maximum number of entries is eight, even if you have more than eight A’s.
To enter, complete the online entry form on this page. The form asks for basic student information, including name, contact details, school, grade level, and the number of A’s earned during the 2025–2026 school year.
You also need to upload proof of grades.
Your report card, transcript, or school portal screenshot must clearly show:
That part matters. A screenshot with only grades and no name does not work. A report card with no school name does not work. A cropped image that cuts off the student information does not work either.
We need to verify each entry, so make sure the file shows everything clearly before you submit it.
Screenshots from your school’s online portal are accepted. Digital copies are accepted too. Just check the image before uploading it. If the name, school, classes, and grades are hard to read, blurry, cut off, or missing, the entry cannot be accepted. If you are having trouble, you can email in multiple screenshots to [email protected].
You also need to upload a valid ID. This can be the student’s ID or a parent’s ID. A driver’s permit, driver’s license, or student ID can be used for entry, as long as a parent or legal guardian has a valid driver’s license.
Some things are easier in person.
If the online form gives you trouble, or if you would rather bring in a physical report card, you can bring your grades to the dealership. Our team can make a copy and enter your information manually.
This helps if your school portal is confusing, your file will not upload, or your report card only exists on paper. Just make sure you come in before the deadline.
Entries close on June 8. Once the deadline passes, we cannot make exceptions for forgotten report cards or late submissions.
The Giveaway Party takes place on June 26 at 6 PM.
The student must be present at the event to win. A parent, grandparent, sibling, friend, or coach cannot stand in for the student. The name drawn must match a student who is there in person.
That rule keeps the giveaway fair for everyone who enters and shows up.
There may be rare emergency situations, and those are reviewed case by case. That means serious circumstances like surgery or an emergency may be considered. Event conflicts, work schedules, trips, vacations, and similar conflicts do not qualify for an exception.
Follow us on Facebook or Instagram for updates before the event. We may share reminders, event details, and other information there as the giveaway date gets closer.
One eligible Tennessee high school student will win a brand-new Nissan Versa.
The Nissan Versa makes sense for a student driver because it is easy to drive, efficient, practical, and sized right for school, work, practices, and weekend plans. It does not try to be complicated. It gives a student what they need most: dependable transportation and a real sense of independence.
For a family, that can change the whole rhythm of the week.
No more juggling rides after practice. No more rearranging work schedules around school pickup. No more waiting in the parking lot because a club meeting ran late. A car gives a student more than keys. It gives them responsibility.
And in this case, it starts with a report card.
Each “A” listed on an eligible report card or transcript counts as one entry, up to eight entries total.
Only grades marked as an “A” count. A “P” for pass does not count, even if the student performed well in the class. The grade must appear as an “A” on the report card (including the numerical equivalent).
Any grading period from the 2025–2026 school year can be used. You do not need to submit every grading period. You can use the report card or transcript that gives you the best eligible entry count, up to the eight-entry maximum.
Submitting more than eight A’s does not create more than eight entries.
Some students take college-level classes while still in high school. That includes AP courses, dual enrollment courses, and other advanced classes.
An “A” in one of these classes may count only if the course and grade appear on the high school report card or transcript.
If the grade appears only on a college transcript or college portal, it does not count for this giveaway. We use the high school’s report card or transcript to verify entries because the giveaway is for Tennessee high school students.
The Student Car Giveaway is open to students currently attending a Tennessee high school.
College students are not eligible. Middle school students are not eligible. Students outside Tennessee are not eligible.
The student does not need to have a driver’s license at the time of entry. A permit is acceptable. A student ID is acceptable. A parent or legal guardian must have a valid driver’s license.
The winning student must attend the Giveaway Party on June 26 at 6 PM.
Take one minute and check your upload before you send it.
Make sure your report card, transcript, or portal screenshot clearly shows your full name. Make sure the school name appears somewhere on the document or screenshot. Make sure the classes and grades are visible. Make sure the image is not blurry.
A clean screenshot saves everyone time.
If you use a phone, avoid zooming in so far that important information gets cut off. It is better to show the full page clearly than to send a tight crop of only the grades.
If your school portal has multiple screens, use the screen that shows the most complete information. Some portals show the student’s name at the top and the grades below. Others hide the school name unless you open a certain page. Check before you submit.
If the entry cannot be verified, it cannot be accepted.
If you have trouble with the form, you can email [email protected].
You can also bring your physical report card to the dealership before the deadline. We can copy it and help enter the information manually.
Do not wait until the last day if you already know you need help. The deadline is firm, and late entries cannot be accepted.
Any grading period from the current 2025–2026 school year can be accepted. The maximum number of entries is still eight, so submitting more than eight A’s does not create extra entries.
