There is no shortage of full-size trucks out there, but if you are looking for something special that gives you everything you need without having to wade through a ton of lackluster choices, then the 2024 Nissan Titan XD is waiting for you. With many other trucks, you have to consider different engines—always worried you will pick the wrong one—along with half a dozen or more trim levels, each designed to make you feel like you are missing out on something. Nissan has kept things simple with the Titan XD: one powerful engine, one great drive type, one cab size that gives you plenty of room inside, and three simple trim levels to choose from. You cannot go wrong with any Titan XD; your choice comes down to what is best for you.

No matter which model you choose, you get the same powerful engine packed into it, so there is no fear of missing out on a drivetrain that will deliver a more rewarding experience on the road. This is a beast of a 5.6L V8 engine that delivers a robust 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, giving you all the muscle you need to tackle just about any job. When properly equipped, this gives you more than 11,000 lbs of maximum towing capacity and more than 2,300 lbs of maximum payload. This makes the 2024 Nissan Titan XD a fantastic choice for both work and play, giving you plenty of capability to haul a load of lumber or a boat behind you, depending on the kind of day you have planned.

Speaking of enjoying your day, the Titan XD has three trim levels available, giving you simple options designed to meet your needs. If you are interested in going off-road, then you owe it to yourself to check out the Titan XD PRO-4X; while all Titan XD models come with four-wheel drive (4x4), the PRO-4X features an electronic locking rear differential, Bilstein off-road performance shocks, and 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires to keep you in control no matter how rough the trail gets. While the standard SV trim has remote keyless entry, an 8.0-inch infotainment display, and stain-resistant cloth seating, the Platinum model features a Nissan Intelligent Key, 9-inch infotainment screen, and leather-appointed seats for an enhanced driving experience you will look forward to day after day.

  • Performance

For many of us, the most important thing when it comes to a truck we are interested in is how well it drives and performs. This starts with the engine, of course, but it goes beyond that and includes a number of engineering features and how those things translate into real-world capability. Many trucks have numerous engines available, which seems like it gives you options, but it just means there is a single best choice and others that fall short. Nissan keeps things simple, however, by giving you one powerful engine in the Titan XD, so you do not have to worry about missing out on anything.

    The 5.6L V8 Engine

Every 2024 Nissan Titan XD comes with a 5.6L V8 engine that roars to life with an impressive 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. When you compare that to the starting engines in many other full-size trucks, you will quickly find them wanting; you have to choose available options to try to catch up with what every Titan XD brings to the road. In addition to this powerful engine, you get 4x4 performance in each model, giving you impressive power and great traction to keep you in control at all times. This makes for a truck that is perfect for all kinds of weather, as it takes you anywhere you need to go.

    Towing and Payload Capacities

When it comes to delivering on the promise made by that kind of power, Nissan has you covered with capabilities designed to help you tackle any task. Looking at the standard Titan XD SV model, you get up to 10,900 lbs of maximum conventional towing capacity and up to 11,050 lbs of maximum gooseneck towing. Other models lose a bit of towing potential, but even the Platinum model still has more than 9,650 lbs of conventional towing capability. In terms of loading up with what you need to take with you, the standard SV model has 2,360 lbs of maximum payload capacity, while the Platinum has more than 1,800 lbs of maximum payload. This makes it easy to use your Titan XD for both work and play, handling anything you require.

  • Off-Road Capabilities

There is no denying that off-road potential has become a battleground among truck manufacturers in recent years, with every brand trying to outdo each other. With that in mind, Nissan is not about to let other companies have all the fun, which is why the PRO-4X model of the 2024 Titan XD is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a full-size truck to use on the trail. Every Titan XD model comes with 4x4, giving you excellent traction on dirt and gravel roads or when dealing with rain and mud. If you are looking to conquer some challenging trails or simply want enhanced off-road performance, you know you can count on; then the PRO-4X is for you.

    Notable Off-Road Enhancements

In terms of off-road features, we find a lot of impressive elements on every Titan XD model beyond the standard 4x4. You get skid plates protecting the lower radiator, oil pan, and fuel tank on the underside of every 2024 Titan XD; the PRO-4X goes further, however, by giving you a transfer case skid plate for greater protection. Every Titan XD comes with front tow hooks, which are great for helping someone out of a tight spot, along with pre-wiring for off-road lighting, so you can add aftermarket lights to help illuminate the trail after the sun goes down. The PRO-4X also comes with an electronic locking rear differential, something you will not find on other Titan XD models, which improves maneuverability on the trail.

    Bilstein Shocks

Although every Titan XD features an independent double-wishbone front suspension and a multi-leaf rear suspension, the Pro-4X is the only model with Bilstein off-road performance shocks. This ensures you enjoy a smoother ride when you are on the trail, thanks to shocks designed to handle rough terrain while also protecting your suspension from jarring that can damage components or throw off your alignment. You also get 18-inch Dark-finished aluminum-alloy wheels that look great, wrapped in all-terrain tires designed to improve grip and traction when dealing with slippery conditions and uneven trails.

  • Interior

No matter what else you are looking for from your truck, you should always make sure it has a comfortable interior so you can enjoy yourself on the road. With several trim levels to choose from, it is easy to find a Nissan Titan XD that meets your needs, but your choice does impact the features you get. For example, the starting SV model comes with standard air conditioning, remote keyless entry with push-button ignition, and cloth seating. It comes with a 7-inch Advanced Drive-Assist display, along with an 8-inch NissanConnect infotainment system, a six-speaker sound system, and an illuminated steering wheel with mounted audio controls—all of this makes it a lot of fun to drive.

Features on the Platinum Reserve Trim

If you move up to the Platinum model, however, you get several upgrades that take your driving experience to the next level. For example, inside the Platinum, you will find Dual-Zone Automatic Temperature Control, a Nissan Intelligent Key with Push-Button Ignition, and a Remote Engine Start System with Intelligent Climate Control. This model also has an auto-dimming rearview mirror, ambient LED interior lighting, and an 8-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support to keep you comfortable. You get heated and cooled front seats in the Platinum, with leather-appointed seating, plus a 9-inch NissanConnect display with Navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and a 12-speaker Fender Premium audio system that sounds absolutely stunning.
