Here at Newton Nissan South, we have plenty of new cars in stock, and we can’t wait to start getting some of our most anticipated 2022 Nissan models on the lot. Let’s take a look at some of the favorite new Nissans that’ll surely be attractive for new car buyers. These cars are modern yet affordable, and they’ll deliver you and your family, friends, and co-workers safely and comfortably to your destination.

Upcoming Nissan SUVs

Let’s begin our review of the upcoming 2022 Nissan’s by exploring the SUV segment. Nissan has an exciting lineup of SUVs for any lifestyle and purpose. From subcompact commuters to midsize warriors, there is a Nissan SUV that will fit your lifestyle.

The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder

The most notable 2022 Nissan SUV with the biggest changes is the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. This rugged three-row SUV will replace any outdated minivan because of its ample storage, technical conveniences, and all-new styling. Inside, the cabin has room for eight seats, so you can fit the whole family. The second row of seats is super-configurable as they slide and flip, even with a child seat in them.

Outside, it looks like a truck with its squared edges, giving it a classic rugged quality. It has four-wheel drive as an available feature, which is great for areas with poor weather or when you want to go off the pavement for a little while. This vehicle is also great for towing, with a max capacity of 6,000 lbs. Meanwhile, the hill descent control coupled with the forward camera is nice for navigating the less flat and smooth terrains too.

The 9-speed automatic transmission, along with wider tires that are new on the 2022 Pathfinder, create a smoother and more comfortable ride for everyone. Also featured in the 2022 model is thicker acoustic glass for a quieter ride inside the cabin as well. Finally, the 2022 Pathfinder has ample storage space with a maximum of 80.5 cubic feet when all the seats are folded down.

Other SUVs to Keep an Eye On

While Pathfinder had the biggest changes in 2022, let’s not forget about the rest of the Nissan SUVs. While many of these models don’t have their 2022 information released officially yet, they are still a beloved part of the current Nissan lineup, and we expect great things from the 2022 versions.

  • Murano – This is a super stylish midsize SUV. It can comfortably seat five passengers and offers a smooth and quiet ride. It has a powerful V6 engine along with some nice upgrades like heated seats and a power liftgate. This SUV slots right in between Pathfinder and Rogue and is great for a family that doesn’t need the larger Pathfinder but still desires room, comfort, and performance.
  • Rogue – This is the smaller SUV in the lineup and is part of the Compact SUV segment. Despite its smaller size, it is still roomy and provides a smooth ride.
  • Kicks – The Kicks is the smallest SUV offered by Nissan, fitting into the subcompact category. However, this subcompact is and has always been a great deal for its lower starting price. If you want something that is inexpensive but still fun, you need to try out the Kicks.
  • Ariya – We can’t say for sure quite yet whether this is going to be considered a 2022 or 2023 model, but we certainly can’t wait for it to come out. This is all new and is an all-electric vehicle from Nissan. It will have excellent range, charge fast, and has a very open concept cabin. It is futuristic in engineering and design, and you’ll be noticed for sure when driving it.

Favorite Sedans We Can’t Wait to See in 2022

Nissan has always offered fun sedans in all sizes. These are practical cars but still entertaining to drive. Again, while there isn’t a lot of information out there on these models yet, there are some rumors circulating, and we can’t wait to see what Nissan does with these fan favorites.

  • Versa – Nissan’s smallest sedan, the subcompact Versa is perfect for single drivers and commuters. If you want a vehicle with a history of easy maneuverability and excellent fuel economy, then the Versa is the sedan for you.
  • Altima – The Nissan Altima is known for its roominess and style. Its looks are upscale and sporty, yet the car itself is affordable, making it an excellent new car value. The optional all-wheel drive is great for harsher road conditions, and the optional turbo engine is another nice feature when you want more sport in your sedan.
  • Maxima – Speaking of sporty, the Maxima is the ultimate full-size sedan. Inside is all the tech gadgetry you’ll need to feel connected, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. If you want a larger sedan, then the Maxima is the one for you.

Get Excited for Nissan’s Trucks

If you’re in the market for a truck in 2022, Nissan has some attractive, durable, and reliable options.

The 2022 Nissan Frontier

The body of the Nissan Frontier has been revamped for 2022 – the first redesign in 18 years. There is a large front grille and a muscular hood, and the interior has upgraded seating, a huge console, and ample storage spaces. Under the hood, you’ll find a powerful V6, 310 horsepower engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission for superior acceleration. This engine is excellent, and if you are a fan of taking on the trails, you can opt for the PRO-4X model that is equipped for more rugged terrain featuring premium shocks, skid plates, and tires.

The 2022 Frontier also has solid safety features to keep everyone safe and sound. These include what is known as Nissan Safety Shield 360. This suite of available safety features includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, High Beam Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. So, you get to enjoy a safe truck with a whole new look in 2022.

Don’t Forget About the Titan

The Titan is the full-size truck from the Nissan lineup. If you had to describe this truck in one word, that word would be – durability. The Titan has a strong design and reliable powertrain setup, so you can count on it to handle whatever you throw at it. Like the Frontier, it comes standard with Nissan Safety Shield 360, so you can travel confidently.

Again, Nissan hasn’t quite released information for this truck for 2022, but it looks like it is going to keep the 5.6L V8 engine that produces 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. Honestly, we can’t complain about that.
