Over the years, we have purchased many cars, and most people would agree that the process can be dreadful. Sales representatives often fail to listen to what buyers actually want. Having worked in sales, I understand the training car salespeople receive and the techniques they use to encourage buyers to say “yes.” That manipulative approach has never appealed to me, which is why we have purchased several of our recent vehicles by text and phone to minimize time spent waiting in a showroom. Recently, we needed to replace a vehicle that had been totaled in an accident. For this purchase, I decided to consider dealerships in rural communities rather than Murfreesboro or Nashville. I found Newton Nissan South in Shelbyville, Tennessee, and contacted the dealership through its AI chat. Early the next morning, Sales Manager Tim called and was very responsive. I explained that I am self-employed and wanted a simple, efficient process so my wife and I would not spend hours in the showroom. Over the next hour, we exchanged most of the necessary information by phone so the dealership could prepare for our visit. When we arrived later that day, Tim introduced us to Hunter, a sales representative. He was pleasant, though he soon shifted into a typical sales approach. The finance manager later offered several optional coverages, which we declined, and he seemed disappointed that we passed on the add-ons. We completed the paperwork so the car would be ready once the insurance payment arrived. Overall, the first day was fine, but it felt like a typical dealership experience. The next day, after receiving the insurance payment, I contacted Tim, who kindly arranged to have the car delivered after my wife and I returned home. Kwon Park texted when he was on his way and communicated clearly throughout the delivery. When he arrived, he helped set up my wife’s phone because the car was hers. As he asked whether we knew about various features, he quickly realized we were unfamiliar with much of what the Pathfinder offered. Although he had not been involved in the sale and could have simply returned to the dealership, he chose to stay. Kwon began under the hood, explained everything in detail, then walked us around the vehicle and reviewed its exterior and interior features. His listening skills were exceptional, and he answered every question we asked. For the first time in my life, I can confidently say that Kwon Park is the kind of representative you want when buying a car: personable, attentive, and genuinely helpful. We would return to Newton Nissan South not because of the dealership itself, but because of Kwon Park. He had nothing to gain from delivering our car, yet he went above and beyond to ensure that my wife and I understood every feature. Kwon Park was a tremendous help in me finding my next car! He met me outside and I asked him about some concerns I had with some slight damage on the tires and a scratch on the rims. He told me not to worry and that he would work on getting replacements for the tires. Afterwards we went for a test drive and He was telling me the whole time about different features and tips about the car after sharing the fact that he had an Nissan Altima himself so he knew a lot about the car to begin with so I learned a lot about the car during the short drive. We came back and filled out important paperwork, I signed it, and had a financier come over to talk with me and then after that we finalized a deal. It was a very easy,straightforward process that was still a fun experience in the end because I’ve been without a car for awhile now. In my opinion, he’s overdue for a raise/promotion and I would recommend him to lots of people that would be in need of a car!!

I came in today hoping to get some good news on a vehicle
I came in today hoping to get some good news on a vehicle even though I have poor credit . My associate was Chris Cortes and even though he is fairly new he has been excellent and patient and really respectful.. If you come into the dealership please ask for him and give him grace too lol..
