The best engine technology has been utilized to create the standard 3.8L V6 engine, which works well for both paved areas driving and off-road driving. The naturally aspirated engine has fewer parts, which means it isn’t as easy to damage the entire engine, and it can still provide you with 310 horsepower and 218 lb-ft of torque. The Nissan Frontier’s engine is smart, reliable, and comes with a cheaper mechanic bill than some others might.

There are five trim levels available for the Nissan Frontier, from the base S model to the off-road beast PRO-4X. A step above the base model, the SV, used to have a convenience package that was offered for an additional fee. Now, however, the convenience package comes standard on the SV with the crew cab and long bed and includes luxuries like under-rail bed lighting, a spray-in bed liner, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel wrapped in leather.

The under-rail bed lighting helps when unloading things from your pickup bed, which is helpful during the winter months with early evenings, and for getting out just what you need when you’re camping out in the open for a night or two. The spray-in bed liner, of course, is more durable than any bed liner you have to buy and insert, partially because it doesn’t need to be fitted to the truck bed. It will bond with the metal exactly where it needs to and will help keep scratches, dents, and other minor damage from ruining the surface of your hard-working truck’s bed. The heated seats and steering wheel are a perk to help fight off any early morning chill.

Many automotive companies have their own suite of safety features, and Nissan is no exception. In 2013, Nissan began using zero gravity seats for the front row in cars, trucks, and SUVs. Not many other automotive companies utilize this technology, and there’s a marked difference between their seating arrangements and Nissan’s. The zero gravity technology was created for use by astronauts, but came to be used in Nissan vehicles because of the comfort it provides for drivers, particularly those who have long distances to drive, have an issue with joint pain, are chronically ill, or who deal with a multitude of issues with regular vehicle seating.

The zero gravity seats are set up to be as “neutral” as possible, which means it puts the least amount of pressure possible on your joints and also helps get rid of fatigue when you’ve been driving long distances.
