Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicles often come with warranties, too. Nissan’s specific CPO program is special and has two levels of certification: Nissan Certified and Certified Select. The two share some major similarities, including a CARFAX report, guaranteed trade-in, and 24/7 roadside assistance for the duration of their respective warranties. Then there are some important differences between the two, as listed below:
Standard Nissan certification is only available on eligible Nissan models. Eligible vehicles must be no more than six years old and have no more than 80,000 miles on them. Eligible vehicles will enjoy a seven-year or 100,000-mile limited warranty (whichever comes first), as well as 24/7 roadside assistance. Nissan Certified vehicles undergo a 167-point inspection process before being listed for sale and come with a CARFAX vehicle history report. Additionally, these CPO vehicles come with one year of pre-paid maintenance.
The Certified Select program is available to both eligible Nissan vehicles as well as eligible non-Nissan models. Eligible vehicles are ten years old or newer and have under 100,000 miles on them. These vehicles undergo an 84-point inspection process and are paired with a six-month or 6,000-mile (whichever comes first) limited warranty. Certified Select vehicles also enjoy 24/7 roadside assistance and get a CARFAX vehicle history report. One maintenance visit is covered under the Certified Select program.
