2018 Nissan Frontier
The 2018 Nissan Frontier is built to handle all of your driving adventures. This midsize truck will perfectly perform on and off the worksite and comes at an affordable price. What’s more, it was named the 2017 “Highest Ranked Midsize Pickup in Initial Quality, Two Years in a Row” by J.D. Power.
The 2018 Nissan Frontier is available at five trim levels: S, SV, SL, Desert Runner®, and PRO-4X®.
Each trim is available in both King Cab and Crew Cab body styles with the exception of the SL model, which is only available in Crew Cab format.
The King Cab S, Crew Cab S, King Cab SV Four-Cylinder, King Cab Desert Runner®, and Crew Cab Desert Runner® are available in a 4x4 configuration. The King Cab SV V6, Crew Cab SV V6, and Crew Cab SL are available in either a 4x2 or a 4x4 configuration. The King Cab PRO-4X® and Crew Cab PRO-4X® are only available in a 4x4 configuration.
Powertrains & Performance
The 2018 Frontier offers two powerful engine options. It comes equipped with a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 152 horsepower, 171 lb-ft of torque, and up to 23 mpg on the highway, offering the perfect balance of power and efficiency.* The second engine on offer is the available V6 engine, which pumps out 261 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. This burly engine is capable of towing up to 6,710 pounds.
Both engines come paired with either a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission.
The Frontier features a rugged design inside and out. The cabin comfortably accommodates up to five passengers and offers tons of available features for you to choose from, including heated front seats, leather-appointed seating and steering wheel, and Dual Zone Automatic Temperature Control system. The cabin also features an infotainment system with Bluetooth® wireless technology, so you can stream your favorite tunes and make hands-free calls while on the go.
If you’re looking to up your off-roading game, the Frontier offers a long list of available off-road features. You can opt for the Active Brake Limited Slip system, which automatically brakes if it detects a slipping wheel, or Selectable Drive Modes, which allows you to manually select for a variety of terrains and off-road conditions, including sand, snow, or deep mud. You can also opt for Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control, which allow you to drive up steep grades and descend with peace of mind.
